Samyang AF 45mm f / 1.8 FE - compact full-frame lens for Sony mirrorless cameras. I have a very positive attitude towards lenses from Samyang. They are good in optical performance and have a reasonable value. Samyang is a Korean brand and they have the widest range of optics for almost any camera. But for modern Sony E-mount cameras, they have a particularly large selection.
In this case, we have a standard lens that would be appropriate to use on both full-frame and crop cameras. In my case, the tests were carried out on bottom of Sony A6400.
Samyang AF 45mm f / 1.8 FE is made of plastic. It looks beautiful and stylish, feels flimsy and cheap in the hands. Weight and dimensions are very modest. There are no buttons on the body, only an electronic focusing ring.
Autofocus is fast enough and almost silent. The front element does not extend or rotate during focusing.
At an open aperture of f / 1.8, you can already shoot with confidence. There is some softness in the image when shooting outdoors, but in real conditions this will not be very noticeable. Chromatic aberration will be visible under some conditions when the aperture is open. The lens gets very sharp from f / 2.8 onward. In terms of image quality, he reminded me very much Canon EF 50mm f1.8.
The bokeh is pleasant, with its own unobtrusive character.

I recommend it for purchase. It will be a good option for both full frame and crop.
There are many other good lenses in this lineup as well. The only question is in choosing a focal length for your tasks.
